  • Mikimoto’s Aurora Necklace plays with both shape and color to emulate nature’s electrical phenomenon in which the design was named after. Much like an aurora, this design bursts with color as it incorporates Black South Sea cultured pearls ranging from hues of green to midnight black, and is set amongst rainbow-colored sapphires. The pearls featured vary in shape, some teardrop and some spherical, and are set on a silhouette that mimics the formation an aurora’s lights streaming across the sky.

  • Porsche Design watches go beyond a mere co-branding exercise and instead carry the design DNA and philosophy of the company’s founder, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. There is no arguing that over its 40+-year history; it has produced some revolutionary, collectible and important watches. To understand Porsche Design watches, you must, as with so many things, go back to its beginnings. In 1963, the Porsche car company introduced its latest model, the 911, at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The car was the successor to the brand’s popular but aging model 356 and featured newer, more minimalist design language, penned by Ferdinand Alexander “Butzi” Porsche, the son of the company’s founder. Of course, we don’t need to remind anyone about the success of the 911 which, along with James Bond films, has endured as a true cultural icon that has evolved but still retains its perfect original form. Form is an important concept to all designers. In 1972, he founded Porsche Design and his first product was a wristwatch. It’s hard to believe that before 1972, there were no black watches, given today’s ubiquity of PVD, DLC and ceramic timepieces. So when Porsche Design introduced an austere chronograph in a black steel case with black bracelet, it was a sensation. 40+ years later, the watch still looks remarkably contemporary with its utilitarian, almost severe, layout. The thoroughly modern P'6620 Dashboard Chronograph watch is a fine timepiece for daily wear. This watch is presented in a light-weight titanium case and features the signature simplistic look that we came to love since the industrial design subsidiary of the famous carmaker began to churn out its flawless objects of contemporary art. Chronograph / Black dial with Arabic numerals, titanium case & bezel, black caoutchouc with folding buckle, 44 mm. Value: $6,581.00 Generously donated by the Change a Life Foundation

  • Designed and handcrafted by master jeweler and conservationist, Alexander Jewell.  18K yellow gold with approximately 1.5 carats fine quality reverse set diamonds and a cabochon sapphire eye. Dimensions: 3″ x 1 1/4″ About Alexander Jewell: A nature lover and conservationist, Frank Alexander Jewell’s designs capture nature’s beauty, delicacy, and intricacy.  His jewelry is sensual and organic, at once free-flowing and meticulously sculpted. Jewell’s innate artistic sensibility drew him to design at a young age and he found his expression in the creation of fine jewelry, a passion he has enjoyed for over thirty years.  Jewell was trained in the artisanal techniques of fine jewelry making by master jewelers including Sigi Orgler and Carlos Holub.  Unlike commercial jewelry which is computer designed and produced, Jewell’s pieces are entirely handmade using only 18K eco-friendly gold and platinum, and conflict-free gemstones.  Jewell has both the artistic vision and technical expertise to create exceptional and magical jewelry. Before establishing Alexander Jewell, Jewell crafted jewelry for some of the most prestigious houses including Henry Dunay, Kurt Wayne, Tiffany, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Mikimoto.  He currently makes jewelry for several noted designers, his work adorning celebrities and socialites.  His private client business affords him the greatest satisfaction as he enjoys sharing the creative process with his customers, designing and crafting one-of-a-kind custom jewelry. After over thirty years in the New York City area, Alexander Jewell moved his studio to Ventura County, CA where he is closer to the outdoors and wildlife that inspire him.  When he’s not creating exquisite jewelry, Jewell is likely to be cooking a gourmet meal, hiking in the mountains or riding his Harley Davidson.
