Our Impact

Now in its fourth year, SeaChange has raised nearly $4 million for ocean conservation. These funds are at work by Oceana implementing effective and realistic worldwide campaigns based on science to heal the oceans. Supporting the SeaChange Summer Party is the best way to collectively ensure that in 100 years and beyond, the children of the world benefit from healthy oceans.

This year’s event spotlighted ocean acidification, one of the most urgent threats to the world’s oceans. Ocean acidification, which is caused by rising carbon dioxide levels in our oceans, is already affecting the world’s coral reef systems and could have cascading effects on marine ecosystems.

By attending SeaChange, you’ll be supporting Oceana’s efforts to stop ocean acidification and protect the world’s vibrant coral reefs and the many species that rely on them.

Participating in SeaChange will directly and efficiently put your contribution to work to protect and restore our oceans for ourselves and future generations. The financially-conservative Kiplinger Magazine named OCEANA one of the very few top environmental organizations that “deserve your dollars.” Charity Navigator gives OCEANA its highest 4 Star ranking.

A portion of proceeds are donated to Orange County ocean conservation organizations.
